flimflam is moving into its eighteenth year, which will start with another crackling night of music. As usual there are three acts – two duos and a choir! There is the vastly experienced duo of Harrison Smith ‘s saxophones and Jim Dvorak on trumpet; ex- Ascension drummer Tony Irving , resident in Brisbane for some years now, reunited with former Brisbane resident, now based in London, Massimo Magee on saxes; and Phil Minton ‘s Feral Concord – so far confirmed for the choir are Phil (of course), Alan Wilkinson , Kay Grant , Armorel Weston , Veryan Weston , Lauren Kinsella , Illi Adato , Jim Dvorak, John Eyles , Tim Fletcher …watch this space for more.
